At Polestar, we offer a variety of Pilates group classes that combine personalized attention with the energy of a shared workout. Whether you’re a beginner or an advanced practitioner, our classes are designed to help you build strength, improve flexibility, and enhance posture through guided sessions using Pilates reformers and props. Each class is tailored to your fitness level, ensuring that you progress safely and effectively in a supportive environment.
Pilates Reformer Introductory Class: This is a required class for anyone new to Pilates. It will introduce you to the Polestar studio, essential Pilates principles and proper equipment usage to maximize results and safety. This fundamental class will set you up for success as you begin your Pilates journey.
Align the Spine Level 1: This slow to moderately paced class is designed for those with movement precautions (i.e., low bone density, spinal pathologies, joint replacements, pre/post-natal). It is imperative you share your diagnosis with your instructor to ensure proper modifications are given. You will learn the basic frameworks of Pilates including language, postural awareness, movement fundaments and safety. You will also learn your appropriate spring tensions, equipment setup and proper modifications for your pathology. Props may be used throughout class to regress and progress movements. If possible, we encourage you to complete a Private Pilates Session before your first group class. Experience is not required but introductory class is recommended prior to attending.
Level I Reformer: This slow to moderately paced class is ideal for when you are beginning your Pilates practice. It will teach you the basic frameworks of Pilates including language, postural awareness, movement fundamentals and safety. You will learn your appropriate spring tensions and equipment setup. Props will be introduced and used throughout class. Experience is not required but introductory class is recommended prior to attending.
All Levels Reformer: This moderately paced class is a basic, fun, and challenging class that is suited for all levels. Our instructors will ensure all levels are challenged by adding the use of props, spring recommendations and position suggestions. It is required you have Pilates
Reformer experience and the introductory class is recommended prior to attending this class. Props may be used throughout class. Moderate fitness level is recommended.
Level II Reformer: This moderate to fast paced class is designed for when you have mastered our Level I class. You are expected to have the knowledge to change your springs, recognize exercise names, correctly position yourself in preparation of the movement, modify as needed, and have excellent body awareness. Props may be used throughout class. Moderate fitness level is recommended, instructor approval is required.
Level I/II Reformer: This moderate to fast-paced class will challenge your practice by helping to transition you from a Level I class to a Level II class. You will learn the
Level II/III Reformer: This fast-paced class will challenge your practice by teaching you advanced Pilates repertoire. You are expected to have mastered our Level II exercises and are ready to challenge your practice with coordination and choreography. Moderate fitness level is recommended, instructor approval is required.
Level III Reformer: This is our highest-level class designed for those who have a solid Pilates foundation. It is a fast-paced class that will include advanced Pilates repertoire. You are expected to have mastered our Level II class exercises and be ready to challenge your practice with advanced coordination and choreography. High level of fitness and instructor approval is required.
Jumpboard: This moderate to fast-paced combination class that uses the Pilates Reformer jumpboard to add an extra layer of challenge. The Pilates jumpboard is a great tool to increase your endurance and muscle strength while delivering high-energy cardio in a low impact setting. This class also focuses on refining the alignment and movement mechanics of your lower extremities. You are expected to have mastered our Level I Reformer class and are familiar with Pilates language, movement fundamentals and safety. Moderate fitness level is recommended.
Power Pilates- Reformer & Circuit Group Classes: These high-energy classes fuse the control and precision of Pilates with the intensity of athletic training. Designed for those who want to take their fitness to the next level, Athletic Reformer and Circuit classes incorporate dynamic movements that build power, speed, agility and form – all while maintaining the core principles of Pilates.

With a 30-year career as an in demand Physical Therapist, Dr. Anderson works with professional athletes, dancers and people of all ages and bodies, across the states and abroad.
Dr. Anderson is an assistant professor at University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences and guest lectures across the nation. He holds a PhD from the University of Miami, is an Orthopedic Certified Specialist, and Nationally Certified Pilates Instructor.
As the founder and CEO of the world renowned Pilates education school Polestar Pilates, Brent oversees curriculum design and implementation of his evidence-based Pilates teacher training in over 60 countries. Brent is a pioneer in Pilates Education, and leads the school for Pilates in rehab & Physical Therapy.
His debut publication Principles of Movement outlines 30 years of research in movement science and highlights the philosophies that underpin effective and transformative movement practice.
He is the host of his very own #PilatesHour Podcast with over 200 episodes featuring interviews and conversations with the brightest minds and leaders in movement culture.
Now he is challenging the status quo and advocating for movement reform in the public school and health care system.

Dr. Karl is a proud Florida native with dual citizenship in Barbados. He received his doctorate from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences, where he met his mentor and Polestar founder, Dr. Brent Anderson. In addition to his doctorate degree, Karl also has certifications in weightlifting and blood flow restriction training. He is currently undergoing the Polestar Comprehensive Pilates certification.
He has a true passion for Pilates, orthopedics, myofascial release, and working with golfers and is ready to work with you on any impairment you may have.
