Mat Pilates is where the magic of intelligent movement begins.
Mat Pilates is where the magic of intelligent movement begins. This was Joseph Pilates’ original form of Pilates — the method he called Contrology — and the place where every exercise was born. Reformer and equipment work were later designed to assist students in mastering this foundational mat repertoire.
This class distills Pilates to its purest form — your body, your breath, and deeply attuned instruction — enhanced with fun, thoughtfully chosen props like balls, bands, rings, and sliders for extra challenge and creativity.
Every session becomes a surprisingly fun and empowering exploration of strength, mobility, and control — all delivered the Polestar way, with an emphasis on quality of movement over empty reps… but trust us, you’ll still feel the heat.
Expect classical foundations blended with Polestar’s research-driven approach, guiding you toward deeper core connection and a more effortless relationship with your body — the kind of movement that photographs beautifully, because it’s rooted in true control and intelligent form. Perfect for all levels.
New movers, returning students, and anyone who wants to build strength and awareness with elegance and intention. Perfect for curious minds, mindful movers, and anyone who loves a class that feels good and teaches them something new each time.
