About Dr. Brent Anderson

With a 30-year career as an in demand Physical Therapist, Dr. Anderson works with professional athletes, dancers and people of all ages and bodies, across the states and abroad.

Dr. Anderson is an assistant professor at University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences and guest lectures across the nation. He holds a PhD from the University of Miami,
is an Orthopedic Certified Specialist, and Nationally Certified Pilates Instructor.

As the founder and CEO of the world renowned Pilates education school Polestar
Pilates, Brent oversees curriculum design and implementation of his evidence-based Pilates teacher training in over 60 countries. Brent is a pioneer in
Pilates Education, and leads the school for Pilates in rehab & Physical Therapy.

His debut publication Principles of Movement outlines 30 years of research in movement science and highlights the philosophies that underpin effective and
transformative movement practice.

He is the host of his very own #PilatesHour Podcast with over 200 episodes featuring interviews and conversations with the brightest minds and leaders in movement culture.

Now he is challenging the status quo and advocating for movement reform in the public school and health care system.

About Dr. Karl Bourne

Dr. Karl is a proud Florida native with dual citizenship in Barbados. He received his doctorate from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences, where he met his mentor and Polestar founder, Dr. Brent Anderson. In addition to his doctorate degree, Karl also has certifications in weightlifting and blood flow restriction training. He is currently undergoing the Polestar Comprehensive Pilates certification.

He has a true passion for Pilates, orthopedics, myofascial release, and working with golfers and is ready to work with you on any impairment you may have.
